Dear Family,
In an effort to further communication within the family, I have started the google group known as Maddox-Files. My thought is that I can share with everyone what we are up to and hopefully alleviate some of the confusion I tend to cause sometimes with my less than adequate communication. Also, I am kinda hoping that this will keep me more up to date on what everyone else is going, as I just found out today that Tina is pregnant (as a related, non-specific example). Also, my intent is just to keep it to the Kelly and Debbie Rogers family with their kids and associated parties.
So to begin:
JaLeen and I had a 3 1/2 day weekend for Easter! So we decided that we should pull out the camping gear and do some camping. We went to the nearest state park, known as Brazos Bend State Park. It was gorgeous, so I thought I would include some photos so that ya'll know what to expect from Texas (the city doesn't count).

Why yes, that is an alligator actually. Thanks for noticing! ;) We saw lots of them. Some were pretty big, others were little baby ones. We walked around the place quite a bit, had tin-foil dinners and prepared for bed. Unfortunately the people at the next campsite over (At least a 1/4 mile) did not have our same thoughts on appropriate bed-time. They played the boot-scootin boogie ALL NIGHT LONG! Okay, so maybe it was just until quiet time at 10pm. But really, two hours is a long time to hear about boogie-woogie-ing. (Please forgive the horrid spelling)
