Easter
We loved Easter. Brandon got to enjoy a lovely little Easter egg hunt around our yard, and we had a wonderful meeting with great talks, lessons, and music at Church. We are so grateful for our Savior, Jesus Christ. For His life, ministry, example, sacrificing Atonement, and His Resurrection. It is through Him that we find so much of our peace and joy in this life, and it is through Him that we have been given the promise of being able to live eternally as a family with our Father in Heaven. So grateful for that knowledge!

| He was so good to act excited for me. Also, feel free to admire the lettuce and radishes we've got growing there! |

Call for Artwork!
So, we aren't the quickest when it comes to decorating our new house and filling up empty spaces, but it is getting there slowly but surely.
Georgia O'Keefe once said, "I found I could say things with colors and shapes that I couldn't say any other way. Things I had no words for."
This piece we got for our wall kind of does that for us. I believe that life is filled with energy and movement, and that colors are such a beautiful expression of that. Thus, having blank walls hasn't been the most energizing sign of life in our house. Hooray for a huge picture that fills that void!
We still have plenty more walls with empty spaces that we want to fill with original artwork....
CALL FOR ART: If you have any pieces you've drawn that you want to lovingly send us, we would love to make a space for it to bring more energy, life, and love into our new home!!!!

A Special Guest!
Brandon and I really enjoy having guests come visit us. We often invite friends over, the Rogers clan comes to visit sometimes, and Mom and Dad Farrell have come a couple of times. Yesterday though was the FIRST time we have had an extended family member come visit us in our new house (We must give credit to Aunt Joanne for being our very first extended family visitor in Houston-unfortunately we didn't get a picture to document it though. We hope she'll come again). Hooray for Uncle Nathan gracing us with his presence, joviality, and all around contagious smile!
Living in Houston turns out to be a pretty great place when people you love have a 6 hour layover at the airport less than half an hour from your home. We enjoyed getting to meet Nate at the airport, enjoying some delicious dinner and shrimp fondue with him, and then showing him around our new house. Next time we hope the visit is longer, but we loved the surprise of getting to see him at all yesterday :)
